CPR, AED, and Basic First Aid
For non medical workers and the general public
Covers: Adult, Child, Infant CPR, 1st Aid, AED. (4 hours)
The Health and Safety Institute's (HSI) CPR & First Aid course is a state approved CPR course for individuals with little or no medical training, who need a CPR & First Aid card for work, OSHA, school, or personal knowledge. Meets AHA guidelines in all 50 states.
Audience: Office staff, industrial workers, personal trainers, non daycare teachers, caregivers, certified family homes, non-medical students, new parents and the general public.
Medical workers should take BLS not CPR 1st aid.
Childcare workers should take Pediatric CPR First Aid.

The State allows two ways to complete this course,
as long as you demonstrate physical skills with an instructor.
Traditional Method
• 4 hours all in classroom
• One class and you’re done.
Blended Method
• 3 hours online (videos & lecture)
• 1 hour skills practice & sign-off.
• “Online only” internet courses with no physical skills, do not meet AHA Guidelines.
• Rescue Breathing and Defibrillators (AED) must be taught to meet AHA certification.
• Breathing did not “go away.” Compressions only is not a certification course.
• Compressions only CPR does not benefit children, infants, overdoses or drownings.
• And CPR Central believes there is no point to CPR without child & Infant training.
