CPR Central
Books
Are books required? Yes.
Books are required by the American Heart Association to participate in any Traditional, instructor led course throughout the country. However, books are NOT required in the Blended (online) course. AHA expressly prohibits instructors from lending books to students and requires students to individually have access to their own book. Alternatively, you may bring a current version of a book you already own, buy one on Amazon, or borrow from work or a friend.
The bottom line...
CPR Central asks students enrolled in Traditional courses to meet AHA compliance. It protects us, your certification, and helps produce a better CPR provider. If there is a written test in your class, the test is open book so it is a guaranteed “stress free” pass. Ultimately, CPR Central will NOT exclude students that can’t afford a book or chooses not to buy one. We rely on the honor system.
We offer these books in our classrooms.
We will pay the tax if you buy the book in the classroom instead of online.
